Fixing electric lawn mower

My trusty lawn mower starting smoking (not ciggies ) the other day while I was using it. Unplugged it, and gave it a good clean thinking maybe some grass was caught in the motor and was burning.

Turns out that what looks like a big capacitor seems to have melted - don't know why, maybe over time they just get worn. Anyway, I've removed the part so need a replacement.

Anyone know where I'd get this part in Dublin?

www.cpc.co.uk have a sales office somewhere in Finglas, they are the same as Farnells and have a huge supply of compenents, hopefully you can read the rating and size of the Cap. It sounds as if the blade was stuck/restricted during startup causing the cap to operate for too long.

Stoner - I think you are absolutely correct. The blade was blocked by a build up of grass, and I tried starting it a few times before unblocking it. Won't be that lazy in future.....
