Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bt Broadband Problem

Having a problem with bt broadband.
Using a wireless BT ROUTER I bought from argos.

The router works fine and has done for months now. However recently the connection is lost if the computer is left idle for more than an hour, so downloading large files or torrents is pointless.
I have to restart the computer again to get it working. The computer is a Dell XPS and I have all the power settings configured to never turn off and screensavers etc are all off!

Em only a very recent problem but a very annoying one

If restarting the computer fixes the issue, then you don't have a problem with your broadband connection. You may well have a problem with the router, dropping the connection to the PC, or the problem could be on the PC end. I would say most likely it's a problem with the PC or wireless dongle. Try uninstalling the drivers for the wireless dongle and re-installing. Plug it into a different USB port (if it's USB) too.

I had problems like this, connection would randomly drop. Turned out to be a dodgy USB connection on the motherboard, obvious really since the dongle was a little loose. Swapping the dongle to another port fixed it.
