Which package for my parents?

My parents currently pay UTV (UTVip Lite package) €9.99 per month plus landline (€24.18) for free calls after 6pm/all wkend for national and UK calls. They have 30 hours free dial connection. So they pay the guts of €35pm.

I would like to look at broadband options for them however the package would have to include the free calls. Limited products would be fine such as the UTV package of 20 hour broadband package for €14.99 (after 3 months) plus I presume line rental of €24.18 which comes to approx €40. Is this the best option for them?

their broadband package isn't time constrained, you get free calls up to an hour

it is a fiver extra though

I was just looking at that Sean. It's actually €10pm more than they are paying now but my Mum works an evening shift so the 24/7 free calls may be a much better option for her.

startign from 20Euro, combine that with a voip account and the total bill would be about 30 a month.
There will also be the initial outlay of buying the ATA but that would only cost about 60euro

Free calls are from Digiweb to Digiweb customers only. To be honest the free calls (national and UK) would be more important than the broadband.

Yeah thats why i said get VOIP, for 10Euro most providers will give you a geographic number and about 300+ minutes to landlines in many counties, for 15 euro you can get unlimited Ireland and UK landline calls. The Digiweb package for 20 include a 10gig BB allowence which is pretty good, so for 35 Euro your folks can have a decent BB with unlimit call to Ireland and UK.
Timed boradband isn't something i would advise for anyone.
