Does anyone know how much is the average to charge per hour for college grinds?

Well it really depends on the subject, i.e. how specialised is it? I charge €15 per hour for grinds in the Engineering field, some charge more.

I wouldn't compare it too much to Leaving Cert grinds since in general parents will pay for those, whereas students often pay for college grinds themselves.

I charge €25 for an hour and a half to two hours (maths'd be my subject). Might seem steep but I think for the time I put in preparing etc it's fair. Best advice for giving grinds is get hold of exam papers yourself beforehand and make sure the student brings all notes etc. And if you know within the first two minutes that the course is beyond you just say so, apologise and leave.

I spent some time collating a file of grinds in Trinity during 05/06, and noticed that a lot of people offering grinds were aiming at the €25-€35 mark p.h.
