Wireless DSL Router. WHAT IS THE BEST?

Hi one of relations is in a bit of a pickle. He has broadband in his House from eircom and is using a Netopia router which seems not to good at all. He has a house with block walls. Can any one recommend a very good router? A a really powerful one.

Not wireless, but in my house I wanted to extend the network down down to the TV. Cable was going to be messy and wireless would be a bit slow (video streaming). I got this http://www.devolo.com/co_EN/produkte/dlan/mldlanhsstarterkit.html from Dabs. Expensive but very cool.
