Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone have a way? I had a dream last night where I wrote a seemingly good song. Lyrics were right there and all.

    I hate when this happens..

I came up with a fantastic plot for a story once in my dreams. Seriously - it would have been a best seller (if I could write!) Forgot it all within minutes. Would love to have written down an outline before I forgot it all.

Sorry, don't have a solution, but I hear your pain.

it'd be cool if you could.

1 - There's no way to recal a dream. Any regression methods (eg, hypnosis) are more likely to create a new dream/memory than to recal an old one.
2 - Creating a new one would probably be just as good.
3 - Unfortunately its unlikely you dreampt specific lyrics. Its far more likely that you dreampt about writing some great lyrics, and had a convincing emotional response, but there were no actual words most likely (supported by the fact that you can't remember them). Hence you feel you lost something you never actually had.

All that said, dreams, illusions and hypnosis are probably all great ways to inspire you to write great lyrics later.

I doubt you could recall it. Your best bet would be to dream it again tonight, so go get some sleep

Unfortunately none of those methods go back in time...

I believe Zillah is correct. I had one of these dreams last night and did wake up straight after and remembered the "FANTASTIC" Song I was singing that made the crowd go wild.

    It was quite "Meh"!

kawaii, maybe I was too hasty in my answer. Had a dream last night that I was writing a song and woke up directly after. I really should have got out the tape recorder because it was a good start of a good song!

And now.... it's gone forever.
