Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all!
    I'm just wondering about those belts that you see advertised on TV - the ones that send electrical impulses into your stomach and tone it and cause weight loss...

    I just want to ask how effective are they for trimming pounds and what does it feel like?
    Thanks...

    don't know if they are any good, but i bet you any money they'll say at the bottom of the ad "to be used in combination with exercise and a healthy diet". that way they cover themselves if people don't see results, and exercsie and a healthy diet is what you need to lose weight.

    Sports therapists actually use the same concept for excercising muscles when the person is in too much pain to do any physical excercise! Those belts I think would be good for keeping muscles in shape but definitley wouldn't make you loose weight!! (A good cardio workout will burn fat!)

    Similar questions get posted in the fitness forum regually, the general consenus is they don't work, if you won't to lose weight, its a case of diet and excerise I'm afraid.

    ahhahahaa.
    <ahem>
    You will not lose any noticable weight using these.
    Its probably about a quarter as effective as actually going for a run or soing any excersise.
    If there were a device that could lose weight this easily with no actual effort, then .... <sigh>

    Complete waste of money. Any exercise product with informercials
    usually is.
