Love reading the Mix Rescue articles in Sound On Sound, especially comparing the before/after sound files.

Was just wondering is there anywhere you can download unprocessed tracks of a full song similar to the files in that article to mix yourself?

Not in a position yet to be able to record a band, but would like to practice mixing in the meantime. Any ideas?

Are they doing that every month now? With files?

Yeah, every month, though it's not always bands or even acoustic instruments they do.

To answer my own question (:p ) about the only thing I've found is this post in the soundonsound forum where the tracks for a jazz recording were offered for mixing. They ended up with about 20 mixes, so it's interesting comparing your own to other peoples.
