Next year is NCT time for me and it just occurred to me that my tinted windows may be a problem.
    Will a 35% tint cause a failure??
Did that law ever get passed in the end?
I probably should have checked this before getting these, hehehe!

There dosen't seem to be any mention of it in the manual (Section 10 pages 15-18)

    Shouldn't be a problem.
Got 35% tints myself recently. NCT on the car on Wednesday week. Will post here if any problems but don't see that there should be.

You'll be grand, one of the lads that does the NCT testing in Kilkenny does window tinting. I'd say your safe.

IIRC from a discussion on here after Ivor Callelly decided to make changes to the law on this, it transpired that there was no clear law on it. It did transpire that stickers were not allowed though.
However, the NCT staff do seem to have some discretion as to what is safe, etc. and can fail for that.
