Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hard to say but it looks to me like they are just modernising or updating the premises. There was rumours of Brown Thomas going in there some time back as I think that they may be the same corporation.I think you will have to wait for next weeks newspapers.

Why don't the council force them to do something with it?

The council are the ones telling them not to do anything with it
they are the ones saying that it is protected
the walls and some of the wood work in there is protected it is there own fault for buying it, like WTF did they expect it was well known that it was protected before they brought it.

It is their fault for buying it. But now that they've bought it, they should sell up or do something with. The should not be allowed to leave it permanently closed... It's a disgrace.

Well not really, the old city wall cuts directly through Egans bar, heading down toward the river and there always was an old monastery burial site out the back (ever wonder what you were dancing on?)
I was in on the dig and nothing untoward showed up, just some wine bottles from the 1700's and a few skeletons. What you'd expect tbh. That dig is over months btw.
