One of the trickier games of the season and its only August!

The squad for the game has been anounced

Reyna, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Luis Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, Pennant, Bellamy, Crouch, Paletta, Kromkamp, Carson, Dudek, Zenden, Sissoko, Gonzalez.

However I don't think Gonzales or Palleta will be playing any part, while Dudek is open to question too.

too defensive. He'll go 4-4-2 I think. bellamy will start up front with crouch. Pennant will be dropped and gerrard will start on the right.

Playing at home, and trying to get a few goals to make the second leg a non event, I'd say we'll go 4-4-2 instead.

Something along the lines of

Crouchie Bellamy

Gonzalez has a knock so I doubt he'll be started. Fowler and Aurelio also out doesn't leave a huge amount of options. Think Finnan isn't 100% either so Kromkamp might play.

its on UTV. I would be suprised if TV3 or RTE2 werent showing it either.

Even if he was 100%, there's no way Gonzalez would start. Hopefully he'll be fit enough to get a few minutes though.

Assuming they are all 100% fit, Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko will certainly start in midfield. Toss-up between Zenden and Garcia for the left side. Bellamy and Crouch up front. I'd say Pennant will see some action.

I wouldnt be surprised if he goes 4-5-1 for Chelsea, with Pennant coming in, but dropping Crouch rather than Bellamy. A speedy attacking trio of Pennant - Bellamy - AnOther would cause Chelsea more problems than Crouchie.

Its only on itv/utv tonight. RTE are showing the athletics.

I would be suprised if pennant didnt start with Gerrard and Alanso in the centre with Zenden on the left.
The hole reason for getting pennant was to allow Gerrard back inside, especially for home games. The away leg would see sisokko coming in and Gerrard playing of crouch.

I think a 2 to 3 nil win will do. Key is clean sheet at home and a couple of goals to make it comfertable.

He is ment to be but with Kewell injured and Gonzalez struggling he will probably slot in on the left.

Damn, would've liked to have seen Gonzalez get some competitive action.

I can't forsee Liverpool having much in the way of problem in this match.

I predict 2-0 first half - foot off the pedal for the 2nd half - maybe sticking one more in towards the end.... 3-0.

Only as cover. Unless we get a spate of injuries, I'd guess the only time we'll see him in the middle is in the last 10 or 20 minutes of games that we're chasing.

Rafa loves Momo. If fit, he'll play.

Scoring goals tonight would be great, but Rafa's number one priority will be to not concede. Number two will be to play well and create chances when in possession. Therefore IMO Sissoko starts, Pennant is benched. But we'll see!

I would prefer to play Pennant instead of Momo. Keep Xabi and Steve in the centre and play Bellamy and Crouch up front.

I think it will be a low-scoring affair, and I can't see Liverpool conceding. I would go for 1-0 or 2-0. Interesting to see if Crouchy and Bellamy hit it off because if they do Fowler won't get a sniff of the first team barring injuries / suspensions.

Hafia is right in the middle of thr trouble. however Tel Aviv isnt. They felt the matches should of been played there.

I really dont think that this is going to be as clear cut as people are making out. Hopefully we'll do the business and put the game away in the first leg but as long as we dont concede a goal i'll be happy enough with a 1-0 win.

I think people are underestimating this game. I think the 3-0 etc. scorelines are a bit high. I reckon it'll be a game where we'll dominate possession and maybe convert two of the many chances we always seem to create. Overall I don't think it will be a thrilling match, but it'll be one I watch.

Its on 110 NTL digital but you will have it on analogue!

Sky! There is a way to do it in system setup then add channels but you need all the right code's + it's not illegal if your gonna say that!

analogue box is the black box the one's I used to install, I dont have that I have digital on 110 it's UKTVgold

hmmmmmm, Liverpool full of quality pass and move football but and its a big but - the formation is'nt working! Bellamy needs someome right with him, too often the box was empty or with just one red shirt.

Going to be a very close second half. Gerrard is better back in his usual position imo. One thing is though if Pennant keeps putting in that quaity of cross during the season Lurch should grab a few.
