Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Friend of mine has just got this router with Eircom BB. the basic ethernet connection works fine but I just could not get it to allow anything to connect to it wirelessly - I tried both a Netgear and a Dlink wireless card in his pc and tried my own laptop as well - tried it with and without security. the network ssid could be picked up ok but no connection possible (I also downloaded the latest firmware for the netopia.

Apart from the solution that it maybe a rogue model just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this model?

Reset the modem back into the factory settings (read the manual, but as far as I know you just push in reset button at the back) and try again. Follow the eircom instructions that came with it (also available here) and see if that works or not. Since you're tried with a number of different cards that presumably are all working, the fault lies in either wrong settings on modem, or a faulty modem.

I forgot to mention that DHCP is on - what settings could be wrong on the modem do you think? give that the only other I adusted were the security ones.

Try setting a manual ip address on the laptop and see if that works. Also check the DHCP client service is running on laptop

The laptop works fine with other wireless routers - brought it home last night and it connected no problem to my own router and have used it as well in hot spot coffee shops.

anybody know what the default eircom password is? Presumably I will need it if I reset the Netopia.
