No doubt this is a result of the Atheist reunion ;) But if they do reunite, I'll be on the first plane to Florida.

Right, I need to start listening to some of these bands. Anyone got some recommendations for material by the two bands mentioned above? :)

    Cynic - Focus

thier only album, possibly the greatest, most imaginative and impressive album ever recorded.

    Atheist - Unquestionable Presence

perfection recorded and available in cd format :D

They're both a bit intimidating upon first listen but, having listened to them over 13 and 15 years respectively, I can assure you repeated listening is inevitable.

OK, now I don't want to leap to any conclusions, but Santiago of the mighty Aghora has posted this on his forum
I just got some more details. It's going to be one hell of a year coming up. Soon when things are concrete "They" will make an announcement to the entire Prog Rock Community that will for sure be a big deal for the upcoming Year.

Hmm... is it just a coincidence that he's in a studio with Sean Reinert as I type this? ;)

Start saving, Anciant1, we're going to this. Yes. We're going and we may never come back :p

    Computer says yes :D
We really enjoyed just talking about metal and where its been, where its going, we also shared with them our knowledge of CYNIC's reunion tour, they had confirmed to us that they were gonna do it, not sure when, but they qill likely see the surface of europe in early 2007.

Now it gets spicy. Santiago from Aghora is part of it, it seems?

Yes sir, followed by exquisite cuisine and beverages as usual.

And this time we'll give ourselves some extra time for extra kip. My bones can't keep up with modern touring requirements anymore!

    ;)
