setting up router for old pc

    Hi
I'm setting up a router on a relatively old pc. My problem is that the instruction manual for the router tells me to connect the etheral cable from the router to the PC. But there's no where in the PC for the cable to go in. The router still seems to be working (I can use my laptop) but I was hoping to protect the connection.
    Any suggestions
    Thans

You'll need an network card like this one:

Then you'll be able to plug in your cable.

^ What he said. But if you can, buy in your local computer shop. They're only a tenner so there's no point in paying another tenner for it to be posted to you.

So I'd have to open up the computer and install it? How difficult is that?

Very simple, philips screwdriver, bit of commonsense and a bit of care and away you go.

    not at all difficult.

    1) Open case
    2) Remove backplate for a free PCI slot (one screw or plastic clip)
    3) Stick card in slot
    4) Screw/clip card in.
    5) Close case

    Piss easy tbh.

Installing is just like was said above, Pi$$ easy, just be firm but gentle and don't force it in!!! ;)
