I'm trying to trace a book I read in my childhood in the 60s. It was about a little person who lived behind the skirting board and I think he had a long beard. I'm sure he was called 'Fingerling'. I can't find any trace of him on the net. I think there were a series of books. Anyone remember him or the author?

Found him! Tried 'Abe Books' and there he was! Written by Dutch author Dick Laan. For those interested here's a link to his pic!
