Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Here may be of help, I'm a 12/13 and it used to bother me but when shops have sales they generally tend to throw out the boats :D

It's a bit crap living off sale items (or none sale items when you're lucky) but I got used to it.

    It's ridiculous.

I have size 12 feet, but it's very difficult to get nice shoes. And almost all the guys I know have size 12 feet, but we are still barely catered for in the shops.

I think we should protest in the streets.

There;s a shop called Mr Big and Tall in Goatstown that specialises in clothes for the larger gentleman - don't know if they do shoes, though.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I'm in the same boat (forgive the pun:D )
Have size 12's and when I look for shoes, I'd pick one I like and ask the girl if its available in size 12. At this point they usually just look at you strangley or as happened once, reply that "no, they're only available in NORMAL sizes"

Well pardon me. Now I'm considering just wrapping my feet up in brown paper and string.

I was in London once looking for some size 14 shoes, and a lad outside a shop - catering for the taller gentleman - looked at me and said "'eer geezer, yor a tall cúnt, ain't ya", so he got a size 14 in the knacks and me shoe split, as they were a bit old.

Eventually I went to a place off Carnaby Street where they cobbled me up a pair of leather brogues which are still going today. There are plenty of good cobblers about, but you wont get much change out of 200 euros though.

I was going to post this yesterday because I was ina strop. I'm about a 13 & 1/2 but I squeeze into 12's. I had to go to 6 or 7 shops to find a pair of size 12's.

Dont even get me started on clothes...

LOL. I went to Trim castle in Meath a few months ago and learned about something they had in the good old days called "stumble steps" Basically, the stairs are about 5 inches wide, and 2 inches deep, but they keep changing slightly in size and shape to try and stop ye olde invaders being able to run up them.
I had to walk down five flights of them with my giant hobnailers on. It took me nearly 15 minutes, and there was about 40 tourists stuck behind me.

A constant souce of entertainment is had by myself and my family when examining the size 22 trainers in the Nike outlet shop in Killarney. I asked the girl whether they had ever sold any. She laughed. We don't go see the lakes or the park anymore, just the big trainers!

Me! I have bigfoot syndrome! Go to DFH on the quays, they're just before the 4 Courts - superb range of big size men's shoes.

What are you on about, they most certainly haven't closed down. I was just in there recently.

As the above poster said, I dont think so. I was last in there about six weeks ago and got a size 12 pair of shoes no problem. Unless they have closed since? I hope not...

Try your nearest Roches (soon to be Debenhams) who are selling off all shoes at 1/2 price. They'll easily have size 46/7 possibly even 48 in Dublin left in some line of shoe.

Remember that a Clark 12 is basically a 13 too

This drives me MAD!! so many guys i know are size 12's as well, why can we never get anything in our size?or at least anything remotely different or fashionable. I had to get my sister to get me a couple of pairs of tigers in new york - i tried london, the bull ring birmingham (biggest shopping centre in europe) and obviously dublin and couldn't find any runners i wanted in 12's.
Not even online. Its absolutley crazy, its getting to the stage where i'm embarassed to ask for 12's.

in australia all the shops catered for this size, it was great, whats the story with dublin?
esp as its not an uncommon size! i feel for you guys who are 13+

yeah i'm a size 12 too and i find it very difficult to get any kind of shoes that are decent. right now i've two or three pairs of pumas, and a pair of brown "going out shoes", all of which I bought in the US.

Also, a pair of Dubes. Those, thankfully, are easy to get in size 12.

Talking of things that are difficult to do with big feet, climbing stuff can be hard i find. Hard to find somewhere to fit enough of my foot!
