Any used car garages open in Dublin on weekends?

    I am quite frankly shocked to see that 90% of all car sales garages are closed on weekends in Dublin. Seeing as most people work mon-fri 9-5, I would have thought that the weekend would be the best time for sales. Obviously I am wrong.

    Having said that, I am looking for a used car myself in the 3k range so I was wondering if anyone knew any used car places open on saturday or sunday? This is the only free time I have so I am praying there are at least a few that have cars in that range.

    Help appreciated!

    Tis amazing how garages will be open on Wednesday (not an exciting day of the week) but closed when far more people are free.

    I think the reason they do this is because if they opened on a Sunday then they would have a lot more people just browsing....in general if you go to look at a car during the week, you're more than likely in the market for buying a car.

    In general if you call in on a Saturday or Sunday, you're more likely to have a job to allow you to buy a car :)

    I've looked at the finglas motor city website, they don't seem to have any cars in my price range.

    Any other places lads? I really wanna go shopping this weekend :cool:

    You won't get much value from a dealer for 3k unless you're lucky. Better off to buy privately in that price range - you'll get a lot more for your money even after you pay someone to check the car out for you and you stick a few hundred euro in the bank as your 'guarantee'. Merlin Motor City are open all weekend but they've only two cars below 4k and neither of them are very exciting.

    I know a few as Ive been out looking for a car the last few weekends. Have to agree I'm amazed how few are open and still the ones that are open all close at 4... Anyway here's some that I found dude.

    Thanks bud, at least I'm not alone here. I'll probably end up going after work mid-week, I called a garage that had a car I was looking for and he said he wouldn't mind staying late for me.

    Either that or I will buy private.
