Vote now for the admins releasing the personal details of all those who made allegations against a certain entity that have resulted in litigation to said entity and washing their hands of responsibility for said allegations so that said entity may take up multiple personal cases.

Lets not talk about boards. Say another website like Floormaterial.ie had stuff on it that said bad and unfounded things about BskyB. BSkyB want the details of these people that wrote those things. Floormaterial.ie cannot by law hand over the details and cannot disclose them to anyone without having to go to Court to be told to do so.

If they did decide to disclose them to the whole world then they'd be smacked about the place by the courts.

Thanks for the profanity, it really underlines your point and makes you look like a really clever person.

    It does?

Incidently how about we just stay on topic of the legal funds and not bother discussing the case at all unless you want this thread locked too.

Hmm, suppose I could subscribe if that'd be any help.

Oh you silly, silly, silly people. The solution is staring you in the face.

Boards could become a registered charity by contributing a certain percentage of donations to a specific cause, say for example an organisation that rescued particularly cute and photogenic animals.

If there's one thing large corporates run shy of, it's bad PR. Just imagine the headline: "Global Mega Corp sue Kitten Rescuing Charity!".

Is that the definition of a registered charity?

Anyway, believe it or not I suggested that for boards some years ago. We considered it and it was agreed on balance that it wouldn't be a good idea and by the end of the discussion I agreed with the rest of them.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who is expressing kind sentiments and support.

This thread is going down the road of discussing an ongoing proceeding that we're not really prepared to discuss, so in the interests of being safe rather than sorry I'm locking this thread.

And please, no more comedy sigs. We, as a community, really need to say nothing and keep saying it.
