Weight training for running

    I am training for the Dublin Marathon and was wondering what sort of weight training for upper and lower body could I do it the gym to improve my performance

    In the long term yes it will help but we're only two months out from the marathon and your running mileage should be starting to increase. Adding extra stress to your muscles at this stage might prove too much. If you've been running a long time I would say go ahead. If this is your first marathon I would suggest your time is better spent running.
