2nd Aldi Store?

    Heading in to town this morning, I noticed an Aldi sign on the bottom of the Rhebogue road, on the site beside where the furniture place that burned down used to be.

    Another store??

    well as far as i know they recently opened a 2nd one in galway so it makes sense

    I saw that sign for Aldi too. I was surprised because there's already an Aldi recently opened only a short drive away. It's great though because it's nearer where I live. :)

    Limerick seems to be a haven for retailers.. Is there plans for a second Lidl Limerick could easlily have two. From my recollection Galway has two? could be wrong on that.

    yea aldi is going in there, there is also a 4 storey building being built there on the river side of the site,

    heard that there is a second lidl store planned for the ennis road
    cant confirm, anyone else hear that??

    Yeah there is plans for a second lidl on the old closed down Texaco Site.

    is that the texaco site on the dual carriageway out to Ennis? Surely getting across the dual carriageway to get back into town would be an issue there? Maybe I have the wrong location. Or are they going to wait until the new road is open in a couple of years like the Coonagh shopping centre?
