Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My Nokia allows Dual mode (GSM/UTMS) or Just GSM

My iMate Jasjar allows me to set dual, gsm or UTMS

I had a quick look at the manual for the E770 and there is an option Settings, Network, perhaps you might find an option here?

Why would you want to set a phone to 3G only?

because if he's on the edge of a 3g area it'll try to latch onto the weak 3g signal instead of the strong 2g singal and end up getting no coverage at all.

OP, you're better off looking for a way to select 2g only since that signal is far more widespread

As far as I know you go to Network Setup in Settings but you can't set it to 3g only. It's automatic which switches between the two or 900/1800 which is gsm here. Pick 1900 and you'll get nothing.

I went into network setup and tried all the bands and one WCDMA 2100 gets me a 3g only signal:)

When I'm in Dublin I lock my phone on the 3G network since I'd expect that all the background searching in dual mode would consume more battery power. And I don't see the point in having a 3G phone to lock it on GSM tbh.
