Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Text Msgs not transferring to new phone

    All

    Girlfriend just got a new nokia 6111, when she puts her sim into the new phone, none of the text messages which are on the sim appear. Her old phone is a nokia 3220, i also tried and had the same outcome, i have a nokia 6230i.

    any idea why this is happening or is the 6111 just a faulty phone?

    any suggestions appreciated.....

    what j said messages are on the phone's memory and not the sim card

    not sure about that, if i put my sim into her old phone, my messages appear & vice versa:confused:

    Could be that the allocated memory for messages is smaller in the 6111..Ok try..use Nokia content copier from the disk that came with your 6230i and buy a data cable its a dku 2 9should work with both models) and copy everything over...Depending on the version of pc suite you have .but should do it ..wortha try

    make a back up of your own while your at it... handy for if you lose it or just for when you buy a new phone...

    Only about 25 messages can be stored on the SIM. It seems kinda random though. Far as I know, it's only some inbox messages. No outbox, sent items etc go over.

    Generally if you copy the messages into saved messages then they will be stored on the sim.
