As for Tech Drawing I got a D2 :eek: like I said many times I messed it up when I cud have done well. Also it was always goin 2 be hard when I only had class once a week and only took up the subject in Dec of 5th yr(I did it for the jr tho)


Everyone in my year who did Construction & Tech Drawin in my school all got A's & B's and it was the same teacher for both subjects. 2 years ago his construction class all got A's :eek:

dont think i got any of the courses on my cao but its fine as i was thinking of changing my mind anyhow. perhaps its a sign!

Failed maths though, am quite upset about that. I had thought i'd get at least a D3, and Chemestry I feel i did better in.

How does one appeal? I'm hoping to get my score up to D3 so i can go to uni.

tbh, the leaving cert to me, is all about my website now. it's disappointing to fall short of my own expectations. However 40 points is nothing to cry over, spare a thought for the thousands who failed maths...

irish: C2(happy, same as my pres)
english: B3(most got cs and ds)
maths (ol): C3(woo!)
french: C1(not impressed!!)
geography: D1 (in geog??wtf?!?!)
business: C1 (wanna go up to a B3 plz god)
economics: D2 (thrilled, I studied the night before!)

Around what I expected but I'm not too thrilled either, wanna get some rechecks and push for the 400. My friends got D1s in English there's war over it!!

Maths: A2 ( over the moon as i heard many failing)
Geography A2 (Ill accept that)
English: B3 (Brilliant for me. i always had C3 in English)

All in all, delighted. A total of 520. Never thought i'd get that...:)

500 ****ing thrilled, almost fainted when I saw them! I'm certain there was a mix up with my Bus paper - by no means did I deserve an A2, I did it outside school and knew NOTHING.

Getting English re-checked. It was my worse grade at a C1 and I'm shocked by how low the results were in our school (especially our class), especially as I got a B1 in the mocks

in fairness they musta been marking it pretty easy cos i did not deserve an A1, no chance..

Just to point out that The leaving cert is not the be all and end all.Some Uni's (if you create good contacts) allow you to change courses if you are really persistent!;)How else would a 2nd year student of Biomedical science person be allowed to change into 1st medicine without reaching the points required for medicine or even applying through the cao.:D

Congrats to everyone!

I'm pretty devastated though...I got 505 which is far less than was predicted and I dropped from the mocks. I think I'll get a few rechecked though, particularly English and Chemistry. I still managed to somehow come close 2nd in my year! I think I'll probably get my course, but if I don't I'll repeat.
