Dont know either of em but like the other thread it will depend on what you want, i.e what style of tattoo. each place has artists with better skills on a particular style

im speaking from having work done in both studios done, im not gonna get into details here, but most def Irish Ink would be the one i pick out of the two. theres always differences in opinion in the way studios operates all over but thats my bit said...

I would say Metal Works!! I know 2 people who got infections from work done in Irish Ink, albeit they were tattoos!! I've also had a tattoo done by an ex-Irish Ink artist and he doesn't speak too highly of the place!

metalworks is meant to be far worse. i've seen some pretty awful stuff from metalworks.

I'd say Metalworks. Got one of my tattoos done there 2 years ago and would always go back (will do that actually in 2 weeks hehe); heard some bad stuff about Irish Ink. Same story with piercings.

I heard nothing but bad things from Irish Ink, so I went to metworks for my tattoo. The finished result was 'Better then Ok', I wasnt hugely impressed with the final result and thinking of getting it redone.

I have been advised from some that You are better off to go to dublin for Tattoo's and that Metalworks is only good for Piercings

Judging by what i have heard metal works is better for piercings and irish ink for tats. Metalworks would be my preference as it is ultra clean even by my standards!

If that fella Luke is still in metalworks don't get anything done by him.

Metalworks closed down a year or more ago. Also this thread is from 2007...
