I was in there on an open day last year, it's a nice enough place. I only got to look in at the computer rooms though, I hope that there's good ventilation!

Actually callan building is pretty nice inside.
Great thing about doing any sort of computer science in your course is that you can use any of the comp sci computer labs (for quiet net access, if youre studying or whatever) as opposed to the public computer rooms, which are mostly full of tittering arts students looking at embarrasing photos of themselves on bebo.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebo
Bebo has been accused of taking up so much of students' time that campus computers in various colleges and universities are blocked up by students accessing it, at the expense of students wishing to do genuine coursework. As a result, several Irish universities (including NUI Galway and NUI Maynooth) and schools have blocked the site.

But is bebo not banned anyway on all of the computers in Maynooth?

For some reason I didnt head to the maynooth open day

I don't think it is banned, my friends were always on it in the nooth.
