Just heard back from the oh-so-helpful folks at UNCompany in response to problem with my last order, namely that the so-called compatible reinforced barrel I ordered in fact does not fit the receiver at all, and that the delta ring is too big for the receiver threads.
Apparently I'm supposed to "use force to get barrel to fit".
And despite the fact that I can slide the delta ring over the threads without it engaging them at all (a clear sign to me that it's too big but what do I know) they assure me that it does fit. Maybe their crystal ball is on the fritz.:confused:
I don't know at this stage if I'd order again from them but will reserve final judgement until the situation is sorted.

Got my quote from Keith on Sunday which was 163stg and included shipping of 56stg and an item for Scope included. I forwarded the funds by Paypal. To day I recived an order shipped conformation and in a seperate email from Keith a note saying he could not supply Scopes item (:( Sorry bud) but the shipping had increased from 56 to 64stg:eek: I have just sent him an email and asked for an explanation. So will wait and see what he says.

Edit: Only problem is it has been sent to the Post Office and is due for shipping tomorrow.

Heard back from Keith as regards. the over charge. Told me that that it was becaus the 5381 was heavier then the 3681 fair enough (was originaly going to ge the 3681) but he over charged me on the weight and cost of the mags. So I mailed him back to see what he is going to do ie refund me the xtra money to paypal or keep it on credit for my next order.

jeeze yank, i am quite suprised by that, i use both them and wgcshop as they normally dont bs at all...i would push for some money off the right one, saying they sold you a pup...

Here's the update: They told me to send the parts back and if there were no scratches on them they would send new ones and credit me for the cost of shipping the stuff back to them, which isn't a bad deal, but as I explained to them, fitting the parts was so tight that it scratched the paint on both the receiver and barrel, so I don't know if that will work. I'll keep you all posted on the saga...................

For the last order I had to ask them what the delay was and found out that they had shipped it 2 days previous to my enquiry. I then got a reply with the tracking number. Did you try all their email addresses. If you need them let me know.

    Hi Caran,
It all depends on what you order. If its somthing small he will only send like reg post. I got a box of mags from him for my MP5 not so long ago and they were only sent normal air mail without a tracking number. Its only the guns or somthing heavy he will put the tracking number on to save postage costs.

EDIT: Try this email address keithamy@netvigator.com

Just thought I'd mention Redwolf's service team. They are fantastic. I got a Marushin Super Redhawk off them which started leaking gas after 14 shots and they correctly diagnosed the problem from my description in my email and gave me detailed disassembley instructions and instructions on how to fix it. Had it sorted in a jiffy. Thumbs up...

Anyone else having trouble getting in contact with Keith from RSOV? I've sent him four emails now over the last couple of weeks asking about a gun and he still hasn't replied.

Is there something going on in China I don't know about? I'm very tempted to just buy it somewhere else.

Oisin all the emails I've sent kieth in the last
few weeks have still not been anwsered either.
But an order I placed last week has been delivered without delay

Hmmm. That's very strange. See the problem is, the gun I'm trying to order isn't on his site. But he mentioned being able to get anything so I thought I'd give it a go.

Sent me an email about two weeks ago asking for the number of it on Redwolf. I sent it back to him and heard nothing since :(

Very VERY tempted to just go with ehobby instead.

I've been in touch with him a lot over the last week or so, so no issues with getting a response.

He did mention though, thats he's completely snowed under and working 16 hour days for the last few weeks without a break.

Dont think I didnt notice that a couple of days before we all went to Barrage you posted here saying you were 28 years old.
And then in Barrage I overheard you saying you were 29.

Seems like *someone* missed out on a birthday firing squad recently..... :p

Some of ye might remember me posting about eBay shop chinapetsupply for aimpoint red dots (and other similar items).

Weird thing is, it's no longer a registered eBay user, yet I never saw anything bad in their feedback, which was pretty decent and extensive enough.

Anyhow, as I've just contacted the manufacturer of the red dot (M3000) I bought from them to find out where/how to change the battery (CR2032), I must praise the manufacturer's customer service: 4 hour turn around to my initial query, with step-by-step photographs attached to their reply email, itself phrased in proper English.

So, if you ever wondered who are the chinese guys making all these super-quality replicas of aimpoints, eotechs etc. you see on airsoftnews.eu - Xinde optical factory is the name, visit them here. 3 thumbs up.

I ordered mine on the 22nd July and got it today 31st.
Had no communication apart from my paypal reciept
but it arrived safe and sound.

I had wanted it to be metal! but alas it was not.
Yer man has now some injection mold I think and thing
I read the plastic ones are more durable. But still!!
I dont trust what looks like a plastic bottle top with a gas lighter
    refill tip on it.

Its pre assembled so dont think it comes apart.
Dont have propane and dont have a GBB yet
    but soon hopefully.

Remember, ciggie lighters hold propane as a liquid and they're all plastic. TBH, the plastic is more likely to withstand duffs and dings - it wont get bent out of shape too easy. And, as it's a one piece construction now, there's no tiny bits to lose. Dont forget, if you lose it or break it, EUR22 will get you a new one in a week (maybe Shiva should order a heap??). I too was expecting the brass yoke, but the plastic adapter is damn solid and looks like it'll last.
