Does that nonchalant tone imply you may be ordering them?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,401 ✭✭✭Shiva

Ordered. Just waiting for him to come back with shipping costs.
I have a source to get me propane too. 400 ml tanks at less than B&Q are charging.

Some of ye might remember me posting about eBay shop chinapetsupply for aimpoint red dots (and other similar items).

Weird thing is, it's no longer a registered eBay user, yet I never saw anything bad in their feedback, which was pretty decent and extensive enough.

Anyhow, as I've just contacted the manufacturer of the red dot (M3000) I bought from them to find out where/how to change the battery (CR2032), I must praise the manufacturer's customer service: 4 hour turn around to my initial query, with step-by-step photographs attached to their reply email, itself phrased in proper English.

So, if you ever wondered who are the chinese guys making all these super-quality replicas of aimpoints, eotechs etc. you see on airsoftnews.eu - Xinde optical factory is the name, visit them here. 3 thumbs up.

ambro, i think i know. a shedload of airsoft suppliers on ebay were shutdown. apparently if there is a whiff that the items can be used on a gun, the close the supplier down...i had 1 go wollop as well, even tho i got the item, and it was a redot as it happens..

Anyone know if UPS deliver on bank holiday Mondays? My package from UNcompany is in Germany after two days. Probably wishful thinking on my behalf but it honestly couldn't come any sooner!

I know. I always said I'd never go UPS again. Clicked 'Any worldwide courier mail' on UN. Didn't realize they used UPS as default!

When you buy guns off RSOV, do they normally come with the orange top on the barrel? Its in a lot of the photos.

    Mine didnt.

Usually sites only attach them when sending out to American addresses. You'll get the odd one that does though.

Any chance that package is a FAL, O1s1n?

My MP5 from RSOV had it on it but it was only a protection cap. I nearly had a baby when I opened it first. If you are worried just make sure you tell Keith you dont want it. I have now bought 4 guns and have yet to have to specifiy that I did not want them with the orange tip. 3 from RSOV and one from EHobby.

Keith seems to be extremely busy at the moment. I started emailing him over two weeks ago and he still hasn't got back.

In the end I just went with UNcompany instead.

Uncompany's website just won't load for me, or more to the point soem pages wil land hte rest will lag. I'll give keith another week before i look elsewhere. Its a shame as its just a few simple yes no questions and then i'd order.

They all seem a bit slow this weather. Probably are very busy with the end of the summer looming. I am waiting on an answer from Gunners for two weeks now.

actually i have web performance problems with wgc, uncompany and gunners....

they are also a lot slower shipping (inc gunners who are crap anyways). i suspect they are swamped with the summer rush, perfect campaign weather for airsoft...

That's because they're selling an orange plastic one now rather than the more expensive brass one.

I didn't mean to sound like there was anything wrong with it. Just meant the new build materials would account for the lower price. ;)

Anyone ever come across this on ups.com?

THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED

I take it that's their way of saying customs have it and I won't be getting it today. Nothing coming up on anpost.ie.

Makes you wonder. What's the point in paying for fast postage?!

Never came across that message before. My FAL when it arrived
did not get stopped by customs but there was a check box ticked
to indicate it was flagged to be opened. (But it did not appear to be opened)

Anyone currently experiencing delays with stuff coming from England?
Have two separate packages with no sign of them since the 23rd July,
One if via airmail and the other was sent via surface mail. (GBB via Air and Gas via surface) I know there are partial strikes until the 8th with Royal mail.

Am wondering if customs seized something do they notify you
in a timely manner or does it take longer. (Have never had anything stopped
so dunno what the score it)

So wait a minute. If my gun is stuck in customs for the next week, and I sell my Famas on Friday, I'll have no AEG for Saturday!

Damn you customs! Bane of my life.

well gunner are cheap..so if you are not in a rush they are fine but they do seem to be very popular with the US airsofters...

Sweet, Did you get the same tyoe of FAL as Myself?
Am wondering if you plan of getting a different top rail
for it to accept a scope or will you be happy with it
    as is.

As my only purpose of getting the FN was for memories
of mu younger days I did not plan on modifying it in anyway
but now that I think about it it would be nice with a scope option.
Wonder if it is any good in a sniper role. Maybe AEG's are too noisy
    compared to a springer.

I bought the full length version myself. I only saw one person with one up the north so thought it would be nice and unique.

wasn't too pushed on a scope until I was looking around and came across the Trilux L1A1 SUIT ones that were made for the FAL.

Really expensive though. Some website was selling them off 'cheap' for $200.

I wouldn't mind finding some form of imitation one. Or as close as possible.

    No, strangely enough. :(
I've been jumping up off the sofa to check every time I hear a car door closing.

It always amazes me how a package can get from China to Dublin in three days, yet it takes 4 or 5 to get from the courier depo to my house!

Ireland is subject to slightly different interpretations of the theory of reletivity, like being trapped at the bottom of a gravity well, time and objects move slower in Ireland than the rest of the world.
