Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

svchost.exe - Application Error

An svchost.exe - Application Error window keeps appearing everytime I open IE.

It says: The instruction at "0x77c43dbd" referenced memory at "0x4b434393". The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

Does anyone hav any clue what this is about?

I've run Lavasoft Ad-Ware and Spybot but it hasn't rid of it. Everytime I click cancel it slows IE down etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

The obvious first: Is Ad-Aware and Spybot up to date? Scanned in Safe Mode? What AV package are you using (Previous two questions too.)?
Have you noticed any pattern to the error? Particular websites visited at the time (Using SSL, or applets, or JavaScript, etc.) ?
    Restore defaults in IE?
Is TeaTimer enabled? Have you made any other changes using Spybot?

    Other:
    Test in Safe Mode?
    Test memory with memtest.

Try http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html for more of a breakdown of processes running than Task Manager provides.

If the problems still persist after the anti spyware and viruscan, run hijackthis and post your log up here.
