Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Straight from the horses mouth then.

Hopefully the media over here will adopt that pronunciation too. So we can avoid any High Flying Kuyt puns.

In Holland the Y sounds like an n sound. So buye would be pronounced bunny. Hope this helps.

The way someone from Belfast would pronounce 'clout', but without the L.

This is actually the perfect pronunciation, not just some weird internet joke.

Its definately pronounced Cowt, Dirk comes from a small seaside town called Katwijk where my family comes from. Kuyt is a popular name in that town, also if u want be precise his name is also spelt differently in the nederlands, its spelt as Kuijt.

Cruyff's jersey was something like Cruijff at Bergkamp's testamonial wasn't it? First time I saw that.

is that for extremely ugly ian dowie lookalikes?

Indeed in holland the "Y" is replaces with IJ.

For Example some may remember Ed De Goey, but in holland his named is spelt Ed De Goeij, same for Ruud Van Nistelrooij.

Also you know Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, in holland he is called Jerel Hasselbaink.
