Firefox command line switches

First thing in the morning, when I crack open my browser, I usually want to go to the same half dozen sites. This is easy, e.g.
    Start>Run>
    firefox http://gmail.google.com|mail.yahoo.com|slashdot.org

Now, I could have http://gmail.google.com|mail.yahoo.com|slashdot.org as my homepage, but that would mean that they load every time I open the browser, which I'd prefer not to happen - it's not terribly inconvenient.

I was thinking though, I can probably make that command (above) a shortcut on the desktop. I've tried, but no joy.

Anyone know how to do this?

    use spaces instead of pipe

    shortcut target:

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" gmail.com slashdot.org mail.yahoo.com

You should try this extension called "Morning Coffee"
    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2677/

It allows you to save all your routine websites, even by the day you like to view them! very cool.

    Thank you both.

That morning coffee plugin is sweet though.

or save the links with pipes as a .txt file and then rename it to .url
