Affordable housing-help!

My gf and I recently applied for the affordable housing scheme, we were called for an interview about 3 weeks ago. We were told we would be waiting 3 weeks and have heard nothing since.. How soon do you find out if you have been approved??? do they contact you by phone or letter?... Any help would be appreciated!
