Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

She has a Linksys Wusbg54 usb adapter and i cannot cannot it to the network
It can see the network but wont connect to it... There is a Wep on the router put that wep key also turned off the wep and turn it off on the adapter no joy.. the ip range i am using is 192.168.1.101 - 180
the ip it gets is like 164.198.0.4..

Any idea. I tried entering the ip settings manually no joy.....

Edit... The Adapter will connect to the network on my computer but not hers

Are you sure she's connecting to your wireless network ?

Sounds like she could be picking up another network in the vacinity.

Also - ensure here USB adapter is not set up for Ad-Hoc mode....

Is it using Windows Zero Configuration or a 3rd party program?

I found that my Belkin USB adapter was an absolute git to configure with the 3rd party software, so may be worth disabling it to use the windows standard and giving that a whirl?

Chances are that the IP stack on the machine is corrupt.
If its XP then the winsock repair tool may help : http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

Yes totally. I'm hardly a hater of wireless if I'm the mod of the wireless forum. ;) And you'll note that I post in almost every wireless thread.

I moved the thread because it was in the wrong forum. That is all.

Now go wash your hands after picking up the shitty end of the stick. :p

    Ah, penny drops.

'...but moving to wireless" - moving the thread, not rhetorical question, as in "what the f@ck would you move to wireless for?"

Emm Swampy irlrobins is the Wireless mod and a tireless crusader for the Wireless cause, solves I'd say about 60 - 70% of the questions asked here himself!

Nope, note the lack of a question mark at the end of the sentence. I didn't go to private school and ten years in college to leave important punctuation like that out :p
