Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

IBB connection - Wireless Printer??

    Hi All,
Prolly a really stupid question. My boss just got a nw Dell PC which does appear to have a wireless network card. He has it hooked up to the IBB wireless Broadband connection, however Dell also sold him a printer with a wireless connector, a Dell 3300. They told him he has everything he needs to get it up and running, however (and I know next to nothing about Wireless networks), does he still need a router? Is anything else needed.
    Much appreciated in advance.

If the IBB broadband is connected directly to his PC, then yes he needs a wireless router. Don't confuse fixed wireless (IBB) with 802.11 wireless. Two different systems.

Edit: Actually I'm wrong. If the PC has a wireless card, then you can set up an ad hoc wireless network. This will allow the printer to communicate with the PC. And therefore no need to buy a router. Sorry about that.
