    Arts. But I live just a 15 min train trip to the college so Im staying at home. Wouldnt mind renting a house, cos a few of my pals are doing arts aswell!

    All us Arts people should get to know each other before the course begins, that way everyone will slot right into the college!

    Just don't be idiot first years and go mental like most seem to. If you treat Maynooth well it will treat you well. Enjoy your time here, it's a great little place.

    Same good few from my school even but they r all doing Arts tho afaik!!

    There is always loads of ppl from Dundalk & Drogheda go 2 Maynooth!!

    When does college start?
    Well people will start moving into the on campus accomodation on the 11th of September.
    Yep, that early :D

    Then theres about 2 weeks od freshers week. (yeah I know:))
    Should be good craic.

    Noone hates first years.
    Except bitter people from maynooth town who dont go to college, yet pay tax to fund our lavish, decadent college lifestyles :)

    I think there's like an orientation week or something from 16-19, and lectures start on the 19th? But that's a bit short isn't it? Other colleges get loads of social events and stuff for at least a week beforehand.

    cos i thought it'd be the week before
    and I'm KINDA hoping it's not, cos there's something I really want to go to and it'd kinda clash and that'd be a bad way to start college :eek:

    Whoops, that was last year. Sorry Eamoss, but this year it's 11th-15th :( Lectures begin on 18th.

    I thought it was 2 weeks?
    Well basically, everyone will go a little nuts.
    People getting back from work/holidays/etc meeting up with friends, etc. theres also tours of the college, fairs day will probably be on that week or mabye one or two weeks after that too.

    Ahh crap, did notin last yr exp for going to the pub with my mates but that was only becasue I was in Alton Towers the day before!

    Also in the other thread only one girl last year :eek: going to be a great sausage fest then! :D
