hey, my problem is that whenever i play the game counterstrike source after about 6 in the evening i get very big lag spikes and often get kicked off servers... is this because of the amount of people online? its really starting to tick me off because it happens during clan matches:mad: .. any help/ suggestions to fixing the problem appreciated.

I'm having similar problems every so often on Esat - my ping times get like the ones listed above, even with some timeouts, then a half hour later it's perfect with 10/11ms.

I think it's my phone line, not the router settings though. I'd recommend people get their lines checked by eircom/esat/whoever, they'll do it for free.

Another possibility is to force your DNS servers to be 159.134.237.6 and 159.134.248.17 in TCP/IP settings (like not auto assign) , my router went through a phase of having to do that.
