Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Im gettin a new laptop soon and have been thinkin about somethin

    the laptop is 700 euro and it has 1GB RAM, DVD-+RW and an AMD Sempron 3000+ processor

    and it says the Proc speed is 3000Mhz

    Does this mean its a 3Ghz processor? Seems like a lot for any Laptop, let alone one for 700 eurehs

    I'm sure its wrong and Im jus a tard. Does anyone know what it is in Ghz?

    It's 2Ghz with 512kb cache.
    The model number is a dig at Intel by AMD/marketing gizmo. It means it's equivalent to a desktop Intel P4 3GHz

    Its a decent processor but battery life ain't too great with it.

    Sounds like an Advent from PC World...is it?

    I've a 3Ghz P4 in my laptop.

    I get less than 5 mins out of the battery :D (ok, it's a desktop replacement).

    So it is a good processor yeah?


    Would also explain the low battery life, but that doesnt bother me.

    I think the Semperon is a budget mp, look to the Ferrari AMD's laptops to see what the good ones are I guess
