2 questions chipset cooler and and cm stacker front aduio thing to cA 4.

ok 1st i have a dfi board and find the chipset very noise so want to get a passive or silent heatsink for it any reccomendations.will be buying off coolestpc.co.uk because they have the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000 Fan 80mm which is ment to be the best 80mm fan out at the mo and also will be mounting the fan onto my window on my cm stacker or is that a good idea ??

and other thing i have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 and was wondering were do i put the hd audio connection coming from the front of the cm case were the on and off switch is because just bought good pair of earmuffs and its do much hassel to put them in the back ever 15 min.

hope everone can help.

and also this is what i want to do with the fan it will be in the inside and there will be a whole cut in the window of the case so the fan can get air.

did you take art classes ?

you cannot passivly cool the nb on the dfi nf boards, with the dfan you will see it easilly hit high 50's if you overclock at all. Just get a zalman cooler. but it has to be the same size as the stock as the number 2 and 4 pci slots ( in sli ) will mean the cards sit just above the fan, about 2mm clearance.

No idea about the sound card thingy sorry. maybe check ya mobo ?

if the audigy 4 is like the audigy 2zs then the connection for front panel is proprietary and you'll have to buy or make your own cable to connect it to the front of the stacker. These links have more info:

But these will not be suitable for a sli setup, as they are rather large.

So you will have to use your card in the 4th slot.

The coolermaster ones arent worth a ****. Ive used both before on the chipset of my kt333 and it worked out worse then the stock cooler. and that was with artic 5 without a fan on it. it is simply gonna overheat. and kill any overclocking potential you have. I have just gaffa taped a tornado outside the case ( panel off ) to blow air onto the chipset. and it has only reduced temps by 3c idle and 7c load

ok sorted out the fan and chipset idea and was wonderin about the card thing can you buy a transformer for it or do you have to do it your slef ??

I mean their chipset coolers. i have some of there case fans, and a hsf from them and a case, and their all tpo quality. I was just saying that their chipset coolers are a bit on the poo side
