Carnivore - Retaliation.... (pete steel type o old man) what an album... so politically incorrect its funny... and the 1 minute of vomiting at the start! LOL!

Cirith Ungol - Paradise Lost and One Foot In Hell (They're getting more popular these days actually)
    Dungeon - Changing Moods
Axewitch - The Lord Of The Flies
    Exciter - Violence and Force
    Grave Digger - Rheingold
King Diamond - Abigail (longshot, but a class album!)

I think the post says great albums THAT TIME FORGOT, not just great albums. Metallica albums have hardly been forgotten (same goes for Pantera and other more mainstream bands).

    Anyway, here it goes:

    Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris
Dark Angel -Darkness Descends, Time Does Not Heal
Shah - Beware, Escape From Mind
Pan Thy Monium - Khaoos and Konfusion
Infester - To The Depths... In Degradation
Symphony X - V, The Divine Wings of Tragedy
Faith No More - Angel Dust
In Flames - The Jester Race (I know mainstream, but nobody seems to recognise this as their best work, and everything after it was SH!TE)
    Artillery - By Inheritance
At The Gates - Terminal Spirit Disease (WAYYY better than that crappy Slaughter of the Soul album)
    Autopsy - Mental Funeral
Amorphis - Tales From The Thousand Lakes
Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta - Father of The Icy Age, Ultima Thulee
Borknagar - The Archaic Domain, Quintessence
Control Denied - The Fragile Art of Existence
Demolition Hammer (Pantera's more talented cousin) - Tortured Existence
Demoniac (Herman Li and Sam Totman's first outing) - The Fire and the Wind
    Destruction - Release From Agony
    Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly
Exhorder - Slaughter In The Vatican
    Nuclear Assault - Survive
Pavor (Best Technical Death Band EVER) - A Pale Debilitating Autumn, Furioso
Sabbat - History of a Time to Come
    Spiral Architect(Cynic + Atheist + more jazz + powermetal) - Sceptic's Universe
Diessection - Storm of Light's Bane
    Testament - The New Order
The Chasm - Deathcult for Eternity
    Pink Floyd - UmmaGumma
    Witchery - Restless And Dead
Xentrix - The Enitre Discography (GHOSTBUSTERS!!!)

I was getting a little long winded so I made some sacrifices, but there's gold in everything up there.

Dissection - Storm of Light's Bane

The only album of your entire list that I'd disagree with, Dissection are/were one of the best-known BM bands around, and pretty much everyone with common sense thinks Storm Of The Light's Bane is their best.

To add my 2c, I'll throw in:
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
    Immolation - Dawn Of Possession
Demilich - Nespithe (and it's free for download too!)
My Dying Bride - Everything, they're criminally overlooked by most people.

Deep Purple - Come Taste the Band, the one with Tommy Bolin on guitar which no-one liked in 1976 and kinda got ignored thereafter. Its really good - just not heavy rock in the expected fashion.

    Mike.

Burning Tree by Burning Tree (1990), completely forgotten at this stage I think. I bought it as LP and its fab but try and find a copy!

No idea if its "forgotten" or not, but found my long lost tape of the Deftones - Adrenaline. Never thought there would be a time that I would be happy to only have a tape deck in the car.

    Quality stuff.

I'll tell you 2 fantastic albums that time forgot and I bet you've never heard of the first one:

King Kobra - Ready to Strike. It's available on amazon and ebay. If you like 80's hard rock/glam metal (it's hard to categorise this album, it's not really glam metal but alot of glam fans like it) you must check this out. Thier other albums aren't as good, get this one.

Also check out Treat - Dreamhunter. They're kind of a harder, heavier version of Europe.
