Im looking to start surfing this summer. Does anyone (have/know where) to get second hand foam boards in west Ireland for cheap? Everything online seems very expensive or far away and i dont want to fork out a few hundred as im not sure if its worth it. Any help is much appreciated.thanks
It might be difficult to find a second hand foamy. You can try looking on donedeal, gumtree or swellseekers.
If you decide to buy it from the shop go ahead, but not from portwest. It's too expensive.
I'd say when you want to go surfing, go to the west coast i.e. Bundoran (has two shops) and buy one there. It's gonna cost you less. Just have a look online and compare.

Moved a few posts in here from the For Sale thread, wasn't fair on folks trying to sell stuff.

Also looking for a foamie in the wesht, can't believe there are so little on the second hand sites.

Saw some new ones in Sunset in Sligo ,6ft to 9 ft, priced from 99 euro.

I looked for a secondhand one too but could not find one...I guess whoever has them is hanging on to them...even if just for friends or relatives if they have "outgrown" them.

theres a few good surf shops in Portrush that generally stock a bit of good quality second hand stuff, or last season suits, they had good deals on last time i was up, check them out.

Anyone know where you can buy a wetsuit pref 5/4mm for about 120 quid. In the west of Ireland. Any shops with sales coming up?
