Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

eircom / netopia 2247 wireless router signal strength

I received today a new netopia 2247 wireless router from eircom. While waiting for this to arrive, I'd been using a borrowed DLink 604+ ADSL modem / router, with no problems. Signal strong throughout house for laptop / PC in upstairs bedroom.

The netopia seems to have horrendous signal strength - the laptop just about picks it up right beside the router, while the PC upstairs barely registers 1 bar for signal strength.

Rang support and they could offer no solution, and are sending out a new one.

Any other thoughts on what this might be?. Scoured the settings for any sort of transmission strength menu / option, but nothing.

    Much appreciated!!!!

Nickname of Craptopia is justly deserved... This par for the course with them btw.

If laptop can barely pick it up right beside it (and it was working fine on previous router) then the new router is fubar'd. Replacement should solve the problem.
