I've been trying to live with dial-up for many years no & am completely fed up with it. I live between Carbury & Allenwood in Kildare & am struggling to find any broadband providers for the area, mainly due to lack of infrastructure .

Dose anyone know of a broadband provider that services this area???

    You could try
http://www.leinsterbroadband.com/ - based in Kilmeague or http://www.callidustelecom.ie/ or even
    http://www.lastmile.ie/ from Edenderry

    hey
i know that this is a terrible late reply
anywho i have recently moved to the carbury area and my dad has organised a site and has set the wheels in motion however we have contacted several broadband providers and they have said that they will come but the never do
basically There is a site and all ready for the providers to build a mast that increases the signal distance. i'm going to contact one of the quicker providers during the week to see what the score is

The three wireless BB is available in Allenwood. - I used it today and had speeds of just over 250kbs (about 5 times speed of dial up) They say they will have high speed BB - up to 3.6mb download in all areas by end of Feb. & just €39 / month.

    Hi There,

I'm currently living in williamstown Carbury. Its actually on the road where highfield Golf Course and Edenderry Golf clubs are. I'm trying to get broadband there. does anyone know if this is avalable in the area? I'm about a mile from Clogherinkoe Church?

Lastmile are on the water tower in Edenderry and in Kinnegad, you would need clear line of sight to either. I'm told Digiweb will be coming to Edenderry soon, it might be worth giving them a shout.

The Carbury exchange is enabled for DSL now, I think the Allenwood is too, also ICE provide a " service " to these areas, but read the thread on them and then make your mind up, as can be seen when ICE are good they are VERY good, but when its bad its VERY bad.
