Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In praise of Anna Livia...

I've been tuning into Anna Livia on 103.2 FM increasingly when usually stuck on the M50.

I have to say the guy who does the continual traffic updates during the 5pm to 7pm slot is starting to become a bit of an urban legand. I never heard anyone talk continiously like that and not noticably take a breath!

He's one hell of a broadcaster and far better than listening to Leo Enwright dep on 5-7 Live while the regular talent is hibernating, or George Hook, who I think is becoming increasingly irritating these days.

Yep, its a good listen all right, even after i've cleared the traffic. It also has such a diverse playlist from Metallica to The Jungle Book.

Yup, he played Microdisney and very next day Ronan Collins played the same track. Coincidence? We think not.

Was Town to Town the track in question?

Gay Byrne used to always play that.

Yes it was, like what other hit did Microdisney have?

I'm still the proud owner of it on a 45 with picture sleeve. Hell, I even remember the video with Cathal Coughlan trying to jump on the back of a London Routemaster.

Um well that kinda depends on what you're hoping to glean from listening really doesn't it?

Have to agree, worth listening too for the music alone.

    Good work

Given that Newstalk is now a national station as opposed to a local Dublin one, would DCAL FM stepping into Newstalks Dublin shoes?
