I understand that you have a medical background

There are no medical doctors in this forum.
We do not give medical advice here, you must go to your GP for that.

People are just recommending what worked for them and all you can do is take that at face value.

    Hey,

I'm 14 years old, with a fairly major acne problem(basically spots all over my face). I have been to the doctor. he prescribed me "Zindaclin" which did absoloutley nothing to me. I bought 100% aloe vera recently which I managed to get my hands on. I hope it will work.

The thing is, I am getting acne very bad(along with other effects of puberty), but I can't get rid of it.

Can anybody who has experienced a similar situation please tell bout how you went about removing it.

    Thanks all!

ask your doctor can you take minocin sa , dont take roaccutain .

MSM from the health food shop. It's about 16 yoyos, it's a totally natural supplement, very safe to take, no contraindications, no side effects. It was the only thing that worked for me, and I tried almost everything out there. Try it - you'll know by the end of the months supply if it's going to work for you, and in the unlikely event that it doesn't, you're only down 16 quid.

You can get it in powder form but for convenience sake get the tablets or capsules.

There's a whole community built up around this at www.acne.org ... they've got some pretty busy forums, might make good reading.
I haven't tried any of their recommendations, but I kinda grew out of acne before I found that site anyway.

This website really does give you the best option. Its based on a Regime

I am also a long term sufferer of acne, and was completely dumbstruck after the first month of it, ****ing singing inside by the second.........:)

Benzyl Peroxide based cream ( 5 or 10 %) can be bought in pharmacies as PanOxyl Acnegel by Stiefel Industries based in Sligo for about E7.50. This is for drying the skin. And is applied to the areas 1-2 times a day(depending on skins sensitivity).

    http://images.chemistdirect.co.uk/images/productimages/large/panoxyl_10_acnegel_9217.jpg

Leave this to go to work for about 3-5mins. Then you moisturize your entire face with a cream of choice. I recommend keeping this simple, and stay away from the "La-de-daa" face cream. i.e E45 cream will do.
Always apply this after the PanOxyl.

That's the big part of it anyhow
There are many other tips the website gives, which i do recommend you read, but its hard to measure there validity. (i.e Consumption of minerals like Zinc...etc) So make your own mind up on them.
If anybody would like to know my exact Regime, I'll gladly abide, just PM me.

But the 2 most important thing in my book, this is the kicker now, (1) Try not touch your face (They are very oily) and (2) Apply Obedience, Regime needs to be constant, same format, everyday.

I still get Spots, I find current preventive actions are very hit and miss, but since this I have learned that Acne can be manageable.

Have only skimmed through the posts here and all good advice, just my 0.02c...

Definitely get this sorted, don't faf around with 'acne clearing' products in the hope that something will work because months and then years will pass and you'll be none the wiser. Acne can have a terrible impact on your confidence and it's needless when there's a simple way to heal it and live your life without fear of looking in the mirror.

It can be a process of trial and error - personally, minocin SA worked for me as a teenager and now tetralysal is doing the job, along with a clean diet, truck loads of water and a simple cleansing routine. There are SO MANY antibiotics, then there's roaccutane as a last resort, so don't despair and be PATIENT. It can take months to see improvements. And don't pick!! x
