Have two beautiful 3-year old cats, Holly and Homer, who are brother and sister. For the most part are terribly affectionate with each other as both are so gentle, loving little creatures, both with huge, very different personalities. However, last week a good 4 or 5 days when by when they wouldn't share their living space and quite literally GROWLED at one another lol. Has anyone found this with their kitties before? Have they ever fallen out and been in a strop with each other for a few days??

Our two cats go like that sometimes - mainly quarrells over food. But like yours they are two completely different personalities - one quite and subdued - the other outgoing and always up for some mischief. He some times annoys the other cat by trying to goad him to loosen up a bit - without success so far.

Meiko throws hissy fits and take a dislike to one of the others at random for reasons known only to her once every 3 weeks or so. She's a proper cowbag - even the dogs are on eggshells when she's in a mood.

My cats are the opposite! Once in a blue moon they will cuddle up otherwise there is an easy truce! They might have a bit of rough and tumble but no serious fights.
In your case, maybe one of them was feeling unwell or had a pain somewhere and didn't want the other around. My parents had two dogs who got on well but when one of them broke her leg, she would growl if the other came near her. But when the pain went away they went back to getting on well together.
