If you have children or teens that don't like to go to their music lessons read on.

At Clive's music we teach music instruments that your child wants to play (Drums, guitar, Bass, Keyboard). Each group lesson finishes by a jamming session. One tutor for two pupils ensures quality of the tuition. All tutors are specifically trained and have received Garda clearance.

Similarly, perhaps pupils seeking teachers could give some idea of how much they are willing to pay per hour, half hour, whatever.

I don't see how that would be useful, especially as alot of people haven't much knowledge of the price range.

It would be simpler if everyone offering lessons put their price with experience and qualifications and people know how much they will pay and a good idea of the standard of lessons.

so someone with little knowledge comes on and says they would pay 25 euro for a half an hour lesson and a person usually charges 20, do you take it? don't people usually just have a standard rate and thats it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,766 ✭✭✭✭tomasrojo

Fair enough, wonton. I was just thinking of the PMs and phone calls I have made, just to find that the pupil wanted lessons at €10 an hour or something similar, which is not a rate I can maintain.

    Forget I said it!

You could mention your standard fees on-thread too. That way parents would get an idea of the ball-park figures.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,766 ✭✭✭✭tomasrojo

I'll go back and add them to my original post, if I can.

No, it's too old to edit. And there's a rule of one post per person at the start of the thread. I'll PM an tSubh Dearg to modify my original post.
