Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ho there fellers.

I'm currently working on a chinese computer (long story) and I am trying to install quicktime. However, whenever i try the installation cancels saying that there is an invalid character in the path name. That invalid character is no doubt whatever the chinese for desktop is, but I can't seem to find any way to rename the desktop and I've been searching around regedit for hours. Any pointers?

    Thanks

    Dan

Have a look at folder redirection. You can move the desktop to another folder on the machine.

Could you give me directons to the folder redirection? Though I recognise most of the stuff, it's still hard when everything is in chinese.

look at command prompt environment variables

    start - run - cmd
    SET
    SET u

    eg: the desktop is
    %userprofile%\desktop

but I suspect you may also have problems with
    %programfiles% n' stuff.
