How To Setup An Artclass?

I am only going into my second year in Fine Art this year but was thinking of doing a class next summer. There isn't many good art classes about the Wicklow area and I think I could get a few people with me to create a good class. Apart from skills in the main practices in drawing, painting and sculpture I have been taught darkroom photography, graphic design, video/filming, and Printmaking (e.g Lithography, Etching).

Does anybody here teach any classes? What practices do you specialise in? Could you give me information in how your whole programme works out for your class? How did you setup your first class? What is the best way to advertise yourself/the class? Better research before launching myself into it all. Any other info that can help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

i got a few people together a few years ago (some members we're from boards actually) for an art group. We had a teacher organised who agreed to do it for a nominal fee and gave us themes etc to work with. trick with a teacher is to be critical but also to encourage all people in their work because it's especially important for beginneers. try advertising in your local library/ supermarket/ newspaper/ buyandsell etc...look up websites to get information and follow a very structured lesson at least to start off with until you gain your feet...gl with it anyhows:)
