Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

dont know the answer to your question but try www.eiretyres.com as ive found they seem to be the cheapest even above some of the uk websites.

gave them a try alright but working out more expensive by the time I get them fitted.....think i'll be going with Discount Tyres in Rosemount...seem quite competitive.

The tyre safety centre in Cookstown is one I know of, very big outfit and by the looks of the place everything seems clean and tidy. They also specialise in alloys and deliver countrywide.

I use these guys in Lisburn - they're good:

However... I checked the prices of Yokohama A539 tyres in Topgear.co.uk with those that I bought from a tyre place in Saggart outside Dublin last year. The Saggart prices were *much* cheaper.

Phone this place in Saggart, speak with a lad called Edwin and see what prices he can come up with: (01) 4580417

I don't know him personally other than the fact that I bought a set of A539s for my MX5 off him. Brilliant tyres !

A friend of mine bought tyres of eiretyres.com and got Confey's in Leixlip to fit them for €40 (another garage wanted €100) as a result saved himself about €100. So I looked into it myself and bought 4 tyres (205, R16, 55) for about €80 each got them fitted and balanced by a tyre fitter back home for €30 he even checked the tracking for that price. I reckon it would have cost me €120 a tyre in a normal tyre fitter. I also asked the tyre fitter if he minded me bringing my own tyres and he said not at all as there would be a chance he wouldn't have any my size in stock. Getting the business fitting was good enough

Tyre Safety Centre are expensive, I always use this guy, phone in advance to ensure the tyres are in stock. I've been going here for years, and recently saved 50 euro a tyre compared to eiretyres when I got a set of Michelins Primacy 235 45 R17's.

Last time I got tyres, I used www.falkentyres.co.uk - worked out well.

Must compare their prices with the others mentioned here, although they only do the Falken range. Their site doesn't list Ireland for delivery, but they do deliver for the same as NI IIRC.

    2x Falken 265/40/17 FK452 96y delivered.

    Eiretyres - €378.20
    Falkentyres - €307.67 (+/- 1 or 2% for sterling exchange rate).

Thanks for that Fey.....I already have a price of €220 fitted for Falkens 185/60/14 82H ZE512....
That site is working out at €195 delivered and I was quoted €15 a corner fitting making it €255.
Never thought buying from a shop in Ireland would actually be the cheapest option!
