Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi does anyone know what the max speed for broadband is in Ireland i know you can get faster speeds in the north but in the south whats the fastest speed... ? i think its 3mb..?

is SDSL avail yet in ireland?

what im looking for is a broadband connection with upload speeds higher than 384k... i need a higher speed to remotely manage/monitor cctv system.

i was thinking about FWA wireless but it seems that its not reliable and a little flakey, so i was looking down the road of SDSL...if its available.. can anyone suggest how i get a better upload speed than 384k? what broadband product??

    thanks

    cheers

I think LLU operators offer SDSL but not sure about eircom.

Do you really need over 1Mbit upload?

well there are two wireless isps you could try..Irish Broadband and Digiweb metro..now ibb has a very bad name in terms of very unreliable and un stable and you most likely wont get the speeds your supposed to be getiing..were as digiweb metro is a lot better service but a bit expensive..but if you were willing to pay you could get 5mb down 1mb up for 80 euro..and i havent heard anything really bad about them so you might want to check them out...

but if your looking for dsl then there are many places that offer over 384k upload..such as smart and ntl's higher packages..anf then theres magnets new packages as well which seem pretty good...

Your probably better off going here http://www.getbroadband.ie/ and putting in your area and see what you can get..it showes the speeds and all..

    good luck

Magnet offer SDSL 2mb/2mb only though.
Smart have the best upload of the ADSL operators.
Irish Broadband have the best upload in theory - 4mb/4mb but I've heard it can be falky, and comes with high latencies.
