What time are you lot arriving at?

We'll be land at 2.00pm and should be in the town centre by 3.00pm

I'm looking at taking a train up, so I'd be there an hour or two earlier, depending on the train I'd get... so when you guys are heading to the airport, I'd be about 1/3 of the way there!

The trip is 6.5 hours for me, so on Monday, I'd have to be at the station for about 17:00 (train leaves at 17:30)

Edit: Plane is cheaper by about 20 quid. New arrival time, once I book the flight is 13:45, and with this I can fly back around the same time as you lot, thouh the latest is 21:10.

Edit: Of course, I'd be going to Stansted to fly out, and flying back in from Gatwick! It's still cheaper than the train overall, even if it is just a tenner's difference.

I'm sorry... the passport aplication form is just too difficult for me.

It actually asks when and where did I lose my passport... if I knew that it wouldn't be f*cking lost... would it?!?!?!

Hey Stoner, see that large spike over there?? .....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,165 ✭✭✭ladybirdirl

    Hey guys,

Don't mind kshiel - staying safe is boring, we need at least one of you to do something ood or something that needs lots of explaining and is open to interpretation or something like that.

Surely one of you can streak across the city or something (just a suggestion, go with whatever the drink tells you)

    Ladybird

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,040 ✭✭✭odonnell

knowing edinburgh, i wouldnt go streaking across the city if i were you - one or all three of the following might happen and not necessarily in this order

    a) you may be mistaken for a rent boy and snatched off the street by sex starved perverts.
    b) the police will get you, take you to the cells and give you a beating, mistaking you for a sex starved pervert..
    c) youll freeze to death after youve been kicked out of the cells or said sex starved perverts home....

Enjoy edinburgh guys..make sure the police, the rats, the junkies, the sex starved perverts, the ghosts, the edinbuggers and the bed bugs dont bite.

    Hey Odonnell,

Are you in fact working for the Edinburgh tourist authority!!:p

Ok then photo time it is!

I have lots to say about this trip but not much time to do it, so I'll post some pics and chat later.

    The Castle - nice:
    Castle.jpg

The Hostel - not bad, this mystery poster seems to be comfy anyway:
    hostel.jpg

Camera Obsucra - good tourist spot, nice light tunnel:
    lighttunnel.jpg

Camera Obscura again - Kennett using his powahs!:
    Powahs.jpg

Camera Obscura again - Plasma ball thingy, long exposure:
    plasma.jpg

Getting a good view of the city:
    View02.jpg

Now some intyeresting ones - the first two are same shot of use at the Mercat Cross waiting on a tour. The first was as it was took, the 2nd I just lightened to see us a bit better, notice anything?:
    mercatcross01.jpg
    mercatcross02.jpg

These two were taken one after the other in the Vaults. Second one I was a bit closer in but dont know what the shadow is on the wall as there was no one bewtween me and the wall. Also no stronge light source behind me for me to cast that shadow:

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to notice in that brightened up photo of the 4 of you... It looks a little bit like Stoner wet himself though.

Well spotted, but thts not it. It might be nothing so I wont point it out. If anyone sees anything just say it.

ya that piller of mist to the right of the car lights. Could be interpreted as personlike.

    Any explanations?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,247 ✭✭✭✭6th

Thats what I saw too, given the history of the site it wouldnt surprise anyone "if" it was a figure.

That said it was a wet night but it was not a mark on the lense.

Funny to note that their are no orbs (of any origin) in most of teh pics even though it was a wet night.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,832 ✭✭✭littlebug

strange. It's got a strange spiral type effect and looks like a very specific type of person to me. I won't say what... I'll wait and see if anyone else sees the same thing!

I'm seeing the fat controller out of Thomas the Tank Engine.
